The Foundry: A Place for Change
17 Oval Way

STAGESThis four and a half day workshop provides a pragmatic approach to maximising client outcomes through assessing, adjusting and applying appropriate and targeted interventions as clients move between different developmental levels during their change process.

During the workshop, Terri O’Fallon, co-founder and partner at Pacific Integral, provides participants with a rich, interactive and embodied immersion into each stage of the ground-breaking STAGES framework and Kim Barta offers practical applications to assess the in-the-moment developmental level of their coaching and therapy clients.

STAGES is an integrally-based developmental framework that profoundly supports the realisation of human potential. Created by Terri O’Fallon, the model reveals important understandings about how human beings can flourish throughout their lives and provides a practical roadmap to help us make sense of where we are in our personal and professional development and how we might progress.

STAGES emerged from and has extended the field of adult human developmental research by incorporating core elements of integral theory, providing details of 12 developmental levels and offering new insights into how individuals progress through iterating patterns of development. The model has been statistically grounded to correlate with the Susanne Cook-Greuter’s Sentence Completion Test – one of the most widely-used and researched tests of adult human development.

Learning Objectives

By engaging in this workshop, you will be able to:

  • describe each of the 12 levels of development and be able to discover the in-the-moment developmental level of self and others
  • describe the relationship between states, stages, and person perspectives and apply this knowledge to creating developmentally appropriate interventions for clients
  • describe the iterating patterns from developmental tier to developmental tier and predict what will arise as a result of learning those patterns
  • assess and apply appropriate coaching and therapeutic interventions for specific developmental concerns at each level

This workshop is a prerequisite for the training to become certified to debrief or score StAGES assessments.
